As part of the NHS LIFT ( Local Improvement Finance Trust ) BEN PCT are rolling out IP Telephony across 32 sites with approximately 2,000 users. A call centre is also now in place for internal support and the PCT is embracing the benefits already.

The new communications infrastructure will allow BEN PCT to work more efficiently across the entire region. With a more joined-up approach to serving the needs of the community, each practice can have greater access to information about their callers and they should enjoy a overall improvement in the way that calls are handled, particularly during periods of high demand.
