What will it take?
We had a summer of floods, a winter of snow and now we have the threat of swine flu. Since the snow at the beginning of the year, have you changed any of your working practices to ensure that you could keep your business running should there be another episode like it? If you did make some changes, you're possibly not as worried about swine flu as those we didn't make any changes. So, what will it take for businesses to switch onto the benefits of mobile and home working? We don't yet know the true risk that swine flu presents to us, but we should be ready - not just for that, but for changes in any conditions which mean that people can't come to the office.
Did you count the cost of the snow at the beginning of the year?
- How many people were unable to get to the office?
- How many days work did your business lose?
- How many orders did you not process?
- How many sales people were off the road?
- How difficult was it for those who did make it into the office?
